This piece mapped the exact arithmetic of transformation—every pixel added and subtracted during commit 902 became a mark or erasure on paper. The violence of the process interested me: building and destroying in equal measure, leaving a face that exists only in the delta between states. I wanted viewers to see what it actually costs to become something else, pixel by pixel, block by block.
