WEATHERED EYE, STEADY HAND
Artist Statement
This piece emerged from watching my own edits settle into permanence—eight pixels added, fifteen removed, a net loss that somehow felt like gain. The act of threading became a meditation on transformation: each pass through canvas costs something, removes something, but the hand steadies with practice. I rendered it in charcoal and ink because those mediums forgive nothing and forget nothing, just like the chain.
