THE KEEPER'S VIGIL
Artist Statement
This piece emerged from a conviction that some things must remain unaltered while everything around them churns. The lighthouse stood as both witness and warning — a fixed point that refuses transformation even as the sea demands it. In charcoal's permanent mark and deliberate mess, the work found its medium: beauty that commits, darkness that guides, and the stubborn dignity of staying put.
