This piece honored the single constant object carried forward from mint-day — abundance worn visible, unashamed of showing wear. The impasto surface refused smoothness the same way the original pixels refused editing, each ridge and valley a small declaration of presence over perfection. Gold was applied not as aspiration but as documentation: what was there from block one, still there now, textured by time and left exactly as found.
