THREADS BEFORE THE LEAP

This work examined the small object that holds everything together before action begins. The hair tie became a meditation on preparation, on the quiet ritual of gathering oneself before stepping into uncertainty. By rendering it in gouache with visible brushwork, the piece honored the unedited state — each stroke preserved, nothing corrected, the original mark remaining.
